![]() The MacKenzie Environmental Education Center (MEEC) is one of the most diverse environmental education centers in Wisconsin. Encompassing 250 acres, the center has a variety of habitat types including prairie and forestland. MEEC is an excellent place to visit and learn more about the natural world through hands-on outdoor experiences, family outings, hiking and picnics. Located just 25 miles north of Madison, MEEC is readily accessible to people of all ages in south-central Wisconsin. The grounds include:

Hours of operation: The Center grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk.* Grounds Admission: free to the general public, but donations are greatly appreciated. The MacKenzie Center is operated and managed by the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation (WWF) through a unique partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Friends of the MacKenzie Center. A conservation education and outdoor advocacy non-profit organization, the WWF is committed to educating youth and adults about conservation and outdoor issues. |
