Education Programs

The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation is absolutely committed to education, particularly to the education of our young people.  Through our educational programming, we expect to enhance the awareness of our students about conservation issues.  We hope they will become environmentally-literate adults and that they will make informed decisions about Wisconsin’s lands and waters.

To that end, the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation:

• Operates the MacKenzie Environmental Center in Poynette.
• Provides traveling educational trunks about wildlife for classes from kindergarten through high school.
• Grants scholarships for future resource professionals at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and for youth to attend summer conservation camps.
• Promotes the National Wildlife Federation’s Schoolyard and Backyard Habitat programs.
